Sewing fabric made of T-shirts (stretch) has a flexibility that is somewhat different from other fabric materials. T-shirt materials tend to be flexible with different levels of elasticity from other types of stretch fabric so that the sewing method must use best sewing kit techniques and understand between the seams so that the results are neat and good, usually with the help of high-speed sewing machines (high speed) and over deck machines. This machine can also be used to sew spandex fabrics.
Usually, problems that often arise when sewing cloth shirts (stretch) with this portable machine are often found, as follows:
The distance between the needle stitches is not neat and the threads look jumping
Stitches are not sticky or even not sewn because the character of this stretch fabric is slippery, such as fabric: silk spandex, lycra, etc.
The seam is not stretched tightly so that the thread does not look sewn
Or often the thread breaks easily
To overcome some problems, a fabric made from the stretch for this shirt can be overcome by using an overlock sewing machine or commonly called a shirt overlock machine. The result of the stitches is sewing as well as pressing down the cloth seam as seen on the shirt (the side).
Overlock sewing machines are machines used to sew or combine two stitches. This machine can also be used to sew edges of materials. The results of the stitches from this overlock machine are similar to overlock stitches, except that the overlock stitches are smoother and neater.
If the stitches only make hems for example such as headscarves/scarves/hijabs made from shirts, or in the form of pashmina, this overlock sewing machine is not so used. Just use a high-speed industrial sewing machine with a large diameter so that sewing with high machine speed capability will produce stitches on a stable and neat t-shirt.
